You can make a difference! Please Vote!
I just saw Farenheit 9-11. I wish it had not been necessary to have been made at all, but I am so thankful it has. I fear that mostly, the ones who "need" to see it will not...they rarely do. I believe they willingly wear blinders, they willingly believe that this administration will take care of them. I just don't believe it. I believe that greed has motivated this group of people we are forced to call government, and they do not care for you or for me. I am unable to operate under this false assumption, and there are a whole lot of folks who feel the same. I do not feel helpless or hopeless. I feel that I must do what I am able to do, and that is to speak up, and to urge everyone to vote their voice. If you have not seen Michael Moore's film, go and see it, and bring someone who is on the fence politically. Believe me, they will fall on one side or another after the film. It is so important for all of us in this country to get up off the couch, turn off the TV and go out and vote with the rest of the concerned citizenry. It is up to us. If we don't like what is happening, if we feel like victims, then it is up to each one of us to become active. Ask everyone you meet within your day...the waitress, the man or woman in the toll booth, the person selling you something on the telephone from their cubicle somewhere, the teller in the bank...ask everyone if they have registered to vote. Engage in dialogue with everyone. Do what you can to become involved! We cannot go back to sleep. Not voting is voting for the other ones. It's a fact. Vote for a Change. Please.
There are many ways to get more involved. Here is a list of some of the groups doing work and disseminating information. If you have time please get more involved.
